Our volunteer charitable organization has been established, directed, and supported by the residents of The Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The mission of The Mirasol Foundation, Inc. is to raise, administer, and distribute funds to educational, health and wellness, social and child services, and veteran-related non-profit, section 501(C)(3) organizations in Palm Beach Country and surrounding communities.

Our Board is comprised of Mirasol residents who donate their time to running the Foundation, using their special talents and tireless energy. Other residents donate their time evaluating charities, organizing fundraisers, hosting informational happy hours, and volunteering for community events.
At the end of our first fundraising season, $120,000 in financial grants were awarded to 18 local charities. The Foundation’s charitable efforts have expanded and grown over the years, as shown below:

Fundraising and Community Drives
Throughout the year, the Foundation provides opportunities to support our efforts through fundraising events, direct donations, and participation in community service activities.
Some of our fun and successful fundraisers have included the annual ladies Bedazzled luncheon; an evening performance by artist Michael Israel with dinner and a live auction of his paintings; a night of dinner, dancing, and a magic show; our Hearts of Mirasol campaign which produced our beautiful crystal sculpture created by a local artist; and our very popular dance party “Keep Calm and Party On” event. We recently hosted five nationally ranked tennis stars for our “Game, Set, Give!” fundraiser, where our members played with the pros and watched exciting tennis exhibitions.
Our Community Service volunteers work on projects all year round, such as the Holiday Toy and Gift Card Drive in partnership with PBG Police, Fire and Rescue Foundation, PBG Food Bank collections, baby items for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of PBC, and clothing drives for Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse and others. In addition, resident volunteers serve as mentors in local high schools and support events for abused mothers and children.
2024 Grant Beneficiaries
The Mirasol Foundation selected 55 local agencies as beneficiaries of our 2024 grants. A record total of $638,000 was distributed in May during our Grants Celebration event. A sample of the local charities that have benefitted from Mirasol Foundation grants include:

2024 Grants Award Celebration

Executive Pastry Chef Peggy Stout (center) and Pastry Chefs Dalia Abreu (l) and Lavanya Basiliere (r) were honored to prepare 32 apple pies this year for "Pie It Forward", a @mealsonwheelsofthepalmbeaches initiative that supports our county`s homebound senior population through the purchase of donated pies for the Thanksgiving holiday.
In preparation for this week`s pie pickup, on November 18, volunteers from our member-run Mirasol Foundation labeled assembled, and delivered pie boxes to the country clubs, restaurants, and bakeries who served as Pie Masters. It was truly a community effort, and we were thrilled to be a part of it!

Today, on #VolunteerRecognitionDay, we celebrate the unwavering dedication of our remarkable Mirasol Foundation (MFI) and its tireless volunteers!
From stuffing backpacks to spreading holiday cheer among local children and supporting the Palm Beach County Food Bank through both hands-on assistance and food drives, the nine-member MFI board, under the leadership of Marilyn Wilson, alongside their dedicated volunteers, have just concluded three exceptionally successful Spring Giving Drives. Their efforts resulted in an impressive contribution of over three pallets of food, three tons of clothing, and a van brimming with books, all destined for organizations across Palm Beach County. These donations will directly benefit those in our community who need it most, and we couldn’t be prouder of the Foundation and its compassionate members. Their commitment also extended to in-person visits to local charities and fundraising events held at Mirasol throughout the season, further showcasing their generosity and drive to make a difference. We extend our deepest gratitude to these invaluable volunteers, eagerly anticipating their upcoming annual gifts and grants ceremony in May, where their impact will be further celebrated.

As day two of our annual Ladies` Tennis Calcutta comes to an end, we are looking back at last week`s Men`s Calcutta! This event, held over two days, consisted of six teams and during an auction that took place the night before play began, the highest bidders became the owners of each team. A portion of the funds raised during this auction were donated to our member-run Mirasol Foundation, which is committed to helping those in need in Palm Beach County and surrounding communities.
